The captain planned our course to pass by Mount Stromboli at 5:30 am in the Tyrrhenian Sea off the north coast of Sicily. This volcano has been erupting every 15 to 20 minutes for over 2,000 years. Still, the residents at the bottom of the "other side" of the volcano must have a lot of faith.
