Do I need a passport?
Yes! Also you should have at least 6 months valid on your passport PAST September 28, 2025 (the last day of the trip)

Are U.S. citizens permitted to enter?
Yes. As of April 23, 2022, all U.S. Citizens are permitted to enter the Brazil without the need for COVID-19 Vaccination cards or PCR/Antigen test results. We will update this section if more information is provided by the U.S. CDC and Dominican Republic authorities.

Is a negative COVID-19 test (PCR and/or Antigen) required for entry?
Not any more. 

Is a negative COVID-19 test (PCR and/or antigen) required to return to the U.S.?
No. On June 12, 2022 the CDC lifted the negative COVID test requirement for re-entry to the United States. 

Do I need a COVID-19 booster?
No (See above).

I put my spouse down as my roommate. Does my spouse still need to register individually?
Yes. The registration system we are using requires each traveler to register and have their own account - even if they are listed as a roommate on someone else's registration. 

Do I need any special clothing?
In September, the temperature In Rio de Janeiro averages highs of 80 degrees and lows of 70. In Salvador Bahia the temperature will trend higher up to the mid 80s, and it Iguazu Falls the temperature will trend lower in the mid-70s. Bring a nice pair of walking shoes and/or water shoes for the excursions around town and to the Iguazu falls. The Copacabana and Ipanema beachs in Rio de Janeiro are legendary - bring a couple of nice bathing suits, cover-ups and sunblock. Also bring bug spray for the "no-see-ums" near the shoreline. There may be intermittent periods of rain.

Can I arrange my own airfare?
Sure. If you plan to arrange your own airfare, be sure to book your flight into Rio de Janeiro Galeao International airport (GIG). Contact Eric Blackmon for assistance with booking transfers. IMPORTANT: The itinerary is planned around our flights arriving into Rio de Janeiro at 8:20 AM on September 19, 2025. Coordinate your flight plans to arrive at the same time.

What's the payment schedule?
An initial deposit of $500 is required to secure your spot (with a $250 cancellation fee). Your balance will be split into 3 equal payments that are due on 5-15-2025, 6-15-2025, and 7-15-2025. If your 2nd or 3rd payments are not received by the 22nd of May and June respectively, your spot may be forfeited. If your final payment is not received by July 22nd, 2025 you may be subject to cancellation with penalties as described below.

What's the cancellation policy?
Great question! Requests to cancel must be made in writing via email to eric@moorelove.travel. If you cancel before May 15, 2025 and within 2 weeks of making your reservation we will refund your payments minus a $250 administration fee. If you cancel on or after May 15, 2025 and before June 15, 2025 you will forfeit your $500 deposit. If you cancel on or after June 15, 2025 and before July 15, 2025 you will forfeit your $500 deposit plus the cost of 40% of your groud package price.  If you cancel on or after July 15, 2025 there will be no refund of payments made unless  YOU find a replacement for your lodging and airline ticket (if applicable). Cancellation of just the airfare portion of your package prior to June 20, 2025 will incur a $50 fee. Thereafter, cancellation of just the airfare portion of your package will not receive a refund.  After July 15, 2023. Name changes for lodging are $50, and name changes for airline tickets are $75. Name changes on airline tickets are not allowed after August 15, 2025. We strongly encourage that you purchase travel insurance. 

How can I get travel insurance?
We recommend ALLIANZ insurance at www.allianztravelinsurance.com. We personally carry Allianz's annual travel insurance to cover all of our trips. You can purchase coverage for individual trips or an annual policy at the above website. If you would like assistance, contact Eric Blackmon.
